The "1906R" is a high-performance running shoe named after the year 2009 when the New Balance brand was founded. The upper of the shoe has been updated with a high-spec sole that boasts high shock absorption and rebound properties. Based on the "1906R," the shoe has an updated upper design with an even newer "1906N."
The year 2024, the zodiac sign for the Dragon, has been given a new color scheme inspired by the Kowloon Wall.
The upper is made of synthetic leather and mesh.
It uses a high-spec sole that is excellent in cushioning, stability, lightness, and abrasion resistance, providing a comfortable fit.

少しシャープにも見えて新鮮な感じで買って大満足です。
９００番台はマイサイ、こちらはハーフアップを選びましたが正解でした。

普段娘はウィメンズ向けのやや細身な996を履いているのですが、それに比べるとジャスト?ややゆったりした印象の様です。
2002Rとも共通のソールのクッション性はもちろんのこと、Nロックなど単に見た目だけハイテクなのではなく、本当の意味でテクノロジーが凝縮されていると感じました。
プラスチック感のあるパーツやギラッとしたシルバーのラインが1906シリーズのハイテク感を出しつつも、辰年にちなんだ色合いが柔らかく、目に優しい緑がかったクリームっぽいイエローという感じでギラギラ感は同シリーズの中でも控えめです。そのせいか、上に持ってくる服装も比較的色んなものに合うらしく、娘も重宝しているようです。
また、娘は辰年生まれということもあって、愛着が湧いているみたいです。
雰囲気的にやや若い感じはあるので万人にオススメという感じではないですが、履き心地は間違い無さそうです。
